2010 - 2011 Georgia Rotary Student   Marcela Cotes Barranquilla, Colombia   The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs will share hosting responsibilities again in the 2010-11 Rotary year with the Rotary Club of Alpharetta. Our student this year is Miss Marcela Cotes who hails from Barranquilla, Colombia and arrived in the Summer of 2010.   Marcela began her college education at Colegio Marymount, also in Barranquilla. At Marymount, Marcela is a member of the Honor Society and Interact. She also participated in the Baranquilla Model United Nations. She was recommended to GRSP by her older brother, Juan Pablo, who participated in the GRSP program in 2006-07. During her year in Georgia Marcela will study courses related to French language, marketing, psychology, writing, literature.   Marcela is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Baranquilla Oriente in Rotary District 4270 and credits support of her parents and siblings for her successes. She sees her GRSP scholarship as an opportunity to study subjects which will compliment her desired career and provide an life experience that will last forever.
