Eden Freeman - Sandy Springs City Manager

Monday, April 3rd, The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs welcomed City Manager of Sandy Springs, Eden Freeman. 

Eden Freeman began her service as City Manager of Sandy Springs on January 17th, 2022. As City Manager, she is responsible for oversight of daily operations of the City Government, achieving Council's adopted priorities, implementing Council polices, and coordinating community issues in a City with an all funds budget of than $995 million.


Freeman updated the Club on some of the most recent developments going on in our city including:

  • Updates on the construction Veterans Park and the surrounding traffic pattern
  • New Fire Station No. 5 going in on the north side of the city at 7800 Mount Vernon Road
  • Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) renewal
  • The current state of the "Water War" going on with City of Atlanta

Freeman also noted that Sandy Springs was recently named the 9th best river town in which to retire in the South by Southern Living. It has also been named by other publication as a city on the move and a city worth watching.
