Rotary Club of Sandy Springs Recognizes Brooklyn Cafe For Community Support

Members of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs enjoyed a fun get-together on August 24, 2016 at Brooklyn Cafe in Sandy Springs. Club member Fred Ferrand presented a plaque to owner Jeff Trump in appreciation of Brooklyn Cafe's strong community involvement. For a number of years, Brooklyn Cafe has provided one night's dinner to the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs' annual Public Service Dinners at the firehouse on Sandy Springs Circle where three nights of dinners for Sandy Springs' EMS, police and firefighters are served. Brooklyn Cafe also donated their famous lobster bisque for the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs' Senior Prom held February 14, 2016 at the Dorothy Benson Senior Center.

Bill Woulfin and Jeannette Jezerinac-Prince Update Rotary Club of Sandy Springs

Jeannette Jezerinac-Prince and Bill Woulfin. Thanks for coming by for lunch on Monday, August 22nd, and updating us on the 2017 Rotary International Convention in Atlanta

President Lisa Stueve's Welcome Message

Rotary International is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs meets most Mondays at the Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Suites at 12:15 PM. The lunch program includes club business and also hosts guest speakers - business professionals, elected officials, non-profit leaders and others from the Sandy Springs area.

We’re always looking for ways to make an impact in the community; our club members are actively engaged with senior and youth programs that support leadership development and student scholarship. While our motto and most important feature of Rotary International is “Service Above Self,” we also work together in fellowship as we enjoy great camaraderie. Like us on Facebook Sandy Springs' Facebook Page to keep up to date on our club's activities!

I hope you will enjoy our weekly newsletter and I invite you to join us for lunch soon!

Lisa Stueve, President, Rotary Club of Sandy Springs, 2016-17

Friday August 26th, September 9th, & September 30th

Plan to attend with your families! The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs will have a booth at the 2016 Movies By Moonlight where Rotary International's achievements with the Polio Plus campaign will be emphasized, as well as the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs' Medical Recycling Trailer project. Gene Jordan, with the help of Rick Doyle, will coordinate the booth and will seek volunteers to man the booth for each of the three showings.

Each year, Leadership Sandy Springs celebrates our community and presents Movies By Moonlight three evenings of early dusk, outdoor movies that are free to the public. Families enjoy pre-movie activities, food truck fare, and set up picnic blankets on the grounds of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church at Mt. Vernon and Sandy Springs Circle. Here are the shows for this coming 2016 Movies By Moonlight. Free to the public....these movies are in top demand!

Each year, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs hosts a booth at the 2016 Sandy Springs Festival. This year is the 31st year of the event which is put on by Heritage Sandy Springs. Sandy Springs Rotarian Benjy Dubovsky is handling the coordination of the event, so be ready to sign up to help during the two-day event.
