Sandy Springs Police Chief - Ken DeSimone

Monday, March 6th, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs had the pleasure of hearing Sandy Springs Police Chief Ken DeSimone speak about the latest updates from our Police Force.

Chief DeSimone brings more than 30 years of law enforcement experience to the position. Chief DeSimone previously served with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in Charlotte, North Carolina. His assignments have included uniform patrol, investigations, training, waterborne enforcement, street crimes unit, Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), organized crime and intelligence units. Chief DeSimone served as the Deputy Chief of the Sandy Springs Police Department for 4 1/2 years before being promoted to Chief of Police in 2013.

Chief DeSimone mentioned that Sandy Springs Police Department currently has 148 sworn police officers and is close to a full roster, a very rare feat for any Police Department in today's environment.
