Filling in at the last minute for Renay Blumenthal, Azizi Williams did a brilliant job of representing the Grady Health system.
Her program began with a brief history of Grady's 125+ year heritage. Officially opened on June 1, 1892, and the vision of Henry W. Grady, editor of the "Atlanta Constitution", Grady had at the time 110 beds and one operating room. Grady Health System has grown considerably since then and not stands as one of the largest public health systems in the United States. She went on to explain Grady's plan for the future. That plan includes a new center for Advanced Surgical Services and an expansion of Ponce Center for Treatment of HIV/AIDS
The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs extends a special thanks to Grady and Azizi for the outstanding service they provide to our community.
